Avenga is looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join our team in Europe and contribute to the development of a cutting-edge Real Estate application on a full-time basis. The role involves participating in the development of a platform intended to link highly qualified buyers and sellers in the real estate market. The project aims to provide a competitive environment for both sides of real estate players and provide a way to successful deals on the market.
As a Senior Python Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust Python applications and services. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
What you bring along:
- 5+ years of experience in Python (developing, testing, and maintaining applications);
- Experience with pytest for unit and regression testing;
- Familiarity with Linux/EC2 environments and proficient use of Visual Studio Code;
- Ability to write clean, well-documented, and efficient code, even for tasks that may not be fully specified;
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts;
- Experience with Postgres or similar relational database systems;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
- English – upper intermediate or higher.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of FastAPI and pymongo.
This is your mission:
- Develop, maintain, and improve our software applications with a focus on efficiency and scalability;
- Write, manage, and execute unit and regression tests using pytest to ensure robustness and reliability of the software;
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs in the codebase;
- Make existing code lint-compliant to enhance code quality and maintainability;
- Refactor code to improve readability, performance, and adherence to best practices;
- Ensure all contributed code is well-documented, clean, and complies with PEP standards;
- Follow software design and implementation directives, while also being comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
