Avenga is looking for an experienced Senior Automation QA Engineer (Java) to join our team on a full-time basis. Our client offers assistance with execution and ensures pricing transparency for advisors, institutions, and issuers through a specialized technological platform.

As a Senior Java Automation Engineer, you will take part in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be working on a platform that consolidates bond markets, granting access to institutional pricing, market insights, and analytics.

Technology stack: Java, JUnit 5, RestAssured library, Mongo/SQL DB

What you bring along:

  • Proficiency in Java for writing automation scripts;
  • 4+ years of experience as an Automation QA Engineer;
  • Strong knowledge of JUnit 5 and RestAssured library, and Gradle;
  • Familiarity with ElasticSearch and proficiency in Mongo/SQL databases;
  • Experience in manual testing;
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and collaborative work with cross-functional teams;
  • Upper intermediate or higher level of English proficiency.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.

This is your mission: 

  • Provide support for the existing system;
  • Create new tests for upcoming functionalities;
  • Lead and assist other AQAs to adopt best approaches in the automation process;
  • Conduct regression tests and analyzing reports;
  • Assist the team with functional testing when required;
  • Partly perform manual testing;
  • Collect test automation metrics from teams to measure and advance test automation maturity;
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure the quality and reliability of automated test scripts;
  • Participate in problem-solving, solution design, and planning sessions for all initiatives and experiments.
