Avenga is looking for a Senior C#/F# Engineer in Europe for our American project. Our customer is an online enterprise-grade food ordering platform used by many of the US’s largest restaurant chains and millions of users. It integrates with the brands’ existing systems, opening new digital revenue streams, injected effortlessly into the restaurant’s operations.

As a Senior C#/F# engineer you will design and architect robust and scalable .NET-based systems, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry best practices.

What you bring along:

  • 6+ years of commercial experience with .Net (C#);
  • Open to learn and do functional programming with F#;
  • Expertise in enterprise UI development with knowledge of JavaScript (TypeScript preferred);
  • Good at instrumenting, deploying and monitoring production code;
  • Hands on experience with RDBMS development (MSSQL, PostgreSQL);
  • Adept at writing unit tests and testable code;
  • In-depth understanding of Windows, database and networking concepts;
  • English – Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with F# or functional programming (highly desirable);
  • Working knowledge of React and TypeScript (highly desirable);
  • Familiarity with developing for highly available and horizontally scalable SaaS platforms;
  • Experience with any of: Kafka, Redis, distributed messaging systems, Amazon Web Services, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes;
  • Background in restaurant or e-commerce technology, including point-of-sale systems, payment gateways, and CRM and loyalty platforms.

  • Lead by example in designing reliable, but simple solutions to complex problems at scale;
  • Evangelize good practices on your team and across Engineering;
  • Observe system performance in your domain and identify emerging problems;
  • Quickly assess and resolve production incidents that arise in the components your team is responsible for;
  • Research and propose new technologies to apply effectively;
  • Exhibit good judgment and instincts, seeking out diverse perspectives, and challenging business and technical assumptions;
  • Provide constructive criticism in a way that builds the team’s bench strength;
  • Consistently deliver against commitments.
