Challenge
The customer portal has to meet the needs of the various user groups (end customers and consultants) and, thus, the corresponding wide range of requirements. A balance should be found between the interests and requirements in the frontend, and the backend.

Requirements Gathering
Our process began with extensive user interviews and on-site observation to deeply understand the distinct workflows of Swiss Life’s consultants and the diverse needs of their end customers.
The goal was to clearly define the diverse requirements and establish the key objectives for the modernized platform, ensuring a balanced approach to both frontend and backend.
Design and Development
Building upon the insights from the first stage, this phase involved the design and development of the unified platform. This stage emphasized finding a balance between user-centric frontend design and robust backend development to meet the identified needs of all user groups.
This included creating a responsive design that adapts seamlessly to various devices, establishing a consistent user experience across different Swiss Life Select brands through a central Pattern Library, and developing the complete range of functionalities for native iOS and Android applications.
Implementation and Optimization
The final stage involved the deployment and launch of the modernized customer portal and native mobile applications. This included rigorous testing, user training, and ongoing monitoring of the platform’s performance.
Post-launch, we focused on continuous optimization based on user feedback and performance data, ensuring the platform continued to meet the new needs of both end customers and financial consultants.
Results
