QPharma: Innovative Drug Ordering System
Managing a modern trucking fleet isn’t just about logistics—it’s about real-time decisions, driver safety, and quick adaptation. That’s why Avenga partnered with Intel to develop a next-gen proof of concept for a non-ADAS fleet management system. Designed for real-world use, the system supports smarter operations and helps drivers stay focused and protected on the road.

Strategic Analysis and Requirement Definition
Core QPharma’s requirements included simplified access to large databases, secure storage of user credentials and profile data, online drug ordering with local pharmacy pickup, and robust mechanisms to prevent unauthorized access to restricted medications.
Avenga entered at this critical phase, working closely with QPharma to understand these goals and frame a solution concept that addressed all technical and regulatory needs.
Solution Design and System Implementation
Following the strategic groundwork, we began designing and building the system to meet QPharma’s specifications.
The solution centered on an automated drug ordering platform that streamlined the order entry process for end-users. Our key focus was on enabling rich integration with databases to allow for seamless data communication and real-time messaging.
At the same time, Avenga’s development team implemented advanced security protocols at every system touchpoint, introducing secure authentication and authorization to safeguard sensitive user data.
Another major component was the incorporation of data intelligence features that enhanced sales processes and operational insights.
Deployment, Optimization, and Business Impact
The final phase involved deploying a highly available cloud solution that was accessible via both desktop and mobile devices. The platform featured an intuitive CRM application tailored for sales representatives, offering full offline functionality and seamless synchronization with external services.
This enabled sales teams to operate efficiently in the field, even without constant internet access.
In parallel, we equipped the drug ordering system with automated workflows. This allowed orders to be communicated directly to pharmacies, along with contextual user messaging based on real-time scenarios.
The platform unified millions of patients into a single distribution channel, empowering QPharma to negotiate lower drug prices at scale.
Results
Avenga created a cloud-based drug ordering solution integrated with a Drug Ordering Module, supporting both desktop and mobile access. The platform connected millions of patients, forming a unified channel for negotiating drug prices.
Additionally, an intuitive CRM application was implemented for sales reps, featuring full offline support for tablets and integration with third-party services. This system enabled pharmacies to receive automatic drug orders while relaying critical messaging based on user interactions.
This is how our client described the cooperation with Avenga:
Their assistance with our data migration and database replication helped us meet client disaster recovery requirements. Without it, we would have lost business. Since we integrate their staff with ours, they’re part of our daily status meetings and we touch base with them throughout the day. We’ve also given them access to Jira so they can track tickets directly, much like our regular employees.
