Platform/System Engineer



  • Cloud Center of Excellence delivers the client Cloud, which data center and all processes needed for any other teams to move onto Microsoft Azure.
    To begin with our main customer is the Cubia project which resides is the Business Intelligence and Analytics platform in Microsoft Azure

  • Responsibilities

    • Creates and refines user stories and acceptance criteria with the product owner
    • Participates in planning events with the aim to create realistic iteration plans and goal
    • Commits to team objectives and iteration goals, and ensures that the committed objectives are delivered and proactively addressed/escalated before the date is exceeded if it appears that goals cannot be met
    • Contributes to self-organizing and developing and testing through agile methods in the team
    • Works with the product owner to confirm that the code and acceptance tests reflect the desired business value and functionality.
    • Conducts research, design, prototyping and other exploration activities
    • Creates unit tests and automated acceptance tests
    • Uses design and coding best practices to build high quality components and solutions
    • Pairing to write and review code and automated acceptance test cases
    • Executes acceptance tests and maintains the test cases in a shared repository
    • Continuous improvement of the team’s process.
    • Updates the team assignments in Jira on a daily basis and maintain documentation in Confluence
    • Manages time registration according to rules
    • Promotes cross-functionality within the team by sharing knowledge and roles
    • Works with other areas of competencies than the primary
    • Promotes continues improvement on knowledge and skills
    • Seeks knowledge and good practice in other teams – both for business and technique
    • Supports and seeks help from the team when needed
  • Skills & Qualifications

    • Decentralized platform: Terraform, Python, GitHub, Gherkin
    • Understanding how the Microsoft Azure platform works and how it can be enhanced
    • Bachelor/Candidate in Computer Science, similar software development degree and 5+ years of relevant working experience
    • Good theoretical insight as well as practical experience with application architecture
    • Good knowledge and experience in application lifecycle management being software analysis, design, estimation, development and test
    • Creating IaC (Infrastructure as Code) for internal customers in BEC requires thorough knowledge of Terraform and Microsoft Azure
