Engineering Manager



  • We are looking for an Engineering Manager to manage the end-to-end delivery and implementation of SaaS product features to Enterprise Customers. This is a critical role, working within Engineering team and ultimately accountable for delivering world class experiences for global brands. As Engineering Manager, you will have proven experience delivering projects using agile methodologies, as well as in developing and maintaining strong relationships at senior levels.

    • Provide oversight to ensure adequate focus on stability, scalability, performance and quality during design and development decision
    • Lead, manage, attract, inspire and mentor technology talent by focusing on the development of our engineers
    • Maximising impact by collaborating closely with product and design to define and execute on the most impactful initiatives
    • Enable your team to deliver scalable, maintainable, secure products and work closely to provide guidance on architecture and approach
    • Leverage your technical skills to build engineering excellence within your teamthat promotes and implements engineering best practices
    • Collaborate with product to build a task backlog and plan work into sprints. Build and influence a culture of ownership, delivery and autonomy, within your team and across your department
    • Identify, track and own the resolution of project issues and mitigation of project risks

    Skills & Qualifications

    • A minimum of 3 years’ people management experience. You’ve managed and grown high-performing teams by bringing out the best in your engineers
    • Over 5 years of software engineering experience building and designing scalable distributed systems with a deep understanding of Java, microservices and AWS
    • A willingness to lead from the front and being ready to roll up your sleeves to help your team in any way
    • An ability to lead and make decisions even with the most ambiguous problems defining the way forward
    • Knowing how to build teams that focus on impact, technical excellence and transparency
    • Proven excellence in communication skills. With an ability to get your message to your teams and across the organisation you communicate transparently and effectively
