DMEXCO in Cologne takes place every year in September. DMEXCO stands for “Digital Marketing Exposition & Conference”. With around 1,000 exhibitors, 550 speakers and over 40,000 visitors, it is one of the largest digital trade fairs worldwide.

For DMEXCO 2019 Avenga organised a raffle. In previous years Avenga raffled tickets, in 2019 there were credits for the Avenga product wao.io to win.
In 2019, the fair was again held in halls 4 to 9 and in the CongressCentrum Nord of the Cologne Exhibition Centre. Some of the halls were divided into individual areas, such as Halls 4 and 5.

DMEXCO (Digital Marketing Exposition & Conference) is one of the world’s largest trade fairs for digital marketing, e-commerce and technology. Since 2009, it has been held annually in September at the Cologne Exhibition Centre.
Its predecessor was the OMD (online-marketing-duesseldorf), which was also held annually from 2000 to 2008. The congress fair was held in Düsseldorf before it moved to Cologne and got its new name.
Connected to the trade fair is a conference at which top speakers from the respective digital branches of marketing and e-commerce give groundbreaking keynote speeches that set trends for the future.
The high relevance of DMEXCO is reflected in its size. For example, over 1,000 exhibitors and 550 speakers have announced their participation in 2019, who will use a large part of the exhibition grounds. The exhibition management expects more than 40,000 visitors.

Kölnmesse offers more than 14,000 parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the exhibition centre. Green signs already show the way on the Cologne motorway ring road. After leaving the motorway, the parking guidance system will help you further.
You can expect to find very full parking spaces at Kölnmesse. Those who can, therefore, travel to the fair by public transport. The Köln-Deutz railway station is right next to the exhibition grounds, and the Cologne (underground) railway lines 1, 3, 4 and 9 also have stops within walking distance.

The DMEXCO logo is offered by the trade fair free of charge and under certain conditions. You can choose between colored and black and white logos and between black and white lettering.
The prerequisite for using the logo is that you and your company or product must be present at the trade fair. In addition, the logo should be integrated harmoniously with the background of the website or graphic.
In addition to the DMEXCO logo, the press area of the website also contains further images and impressions of the trade fair that can be used for advertising purposes on your own company or product website.

Miriam Birkett, Head of Marketing DACH: With its motto “Trust in You”, DMEXCO 2019 clearly focused on the user, which is the right direction for digital marketing and the future development of the industry! With the ongoing data scandals, trust will have to be the new currency leading to the customer.
I am sure that not only diversity and environmental protection but also data protection will be a major part of corporate social responsibility in the future. Besides the usual good exhibitors, the speakers convinced with their presentations. Even if the exhibition halls appeared somewhat airier than in previous years, the quality was good throughout.
With the broad range of products and services, the cross-industry focus and the exciting insights from the keynotes, a visit to DMEXCO 2019 was indispensable for digital marketers. I am already looking forward to next year!
DMEXCO 2018 date: 12 & 13 September 2018.
Our topic was a perfect fit for DMEXCO 2018: The most important success factor in digital transformation is a consistent focus on the needs of customers. After all, in the digital world, user experience determines the success or failure of brands.
“The success of digital business models on the Internet is based on a good front end, i.e. a good website, an app that can be operated intuitively or an online shop that loads particularly fast,” says Avenga CEO Jan Webering in our DMEXCO 2018 review (German language):
DMEXCO 2017 date: 13 & 14 September 2017.
At DMEXCO 2017, our team brought the four pillars on which Avenga (formerly Sevenval) is based: strategy, creativity, testing and technology. These were our keywords in Hall 7, and the visitors to the Avenga stand could read them at the height of four metres. In the midst of digital agencies, e-commerce platforms and performance marketing service providers, our experts spoke about the opportunities of digitalization and the importance of fast frontends in the gigabit age.
After two days at the fair and countless discussions, the summary was positive: “We combine the creativity and innovation of a digital agency with the precision and pragmatism of an experienced technology service provider. With our fast-track approach to digital transformation and with our e-commerce themes, we perfectly complemented the offerings of the stand neighbours,” was the positive conclusion of Avenga CEO Jan Webering.
The fair was also a success for the organizers: 1,100 exhibitors and 40,700 trade visitors gathered at DMEXCO 2017, as well as many newcomers and start-ups from all over the world. Right in the middle of it all, the Avenga team distributed 2,000 portions of frozen yoghurt, countless cups of coffee – and presented our two central themes to the guests.

Avenga’s unique selling point at DMEXCO 2016 was our offer for fast digital transformation – the Fast Track. The DMEXCO 2016 exhibitors also mostly came from the online advertising and e-commerce sectors.
